As expected, Vegeta's Active Skill is an extremely useful tool in this fight. Best part is, you can choose when to activate it, meaning you can save that devastating Final Shine Attack for the final phase.

Once Vegeta activates his Blue form, he can provide assistance in the form of mass Ki changing (and HP recovery from charging), nuking, and stacking DEF in earlier stages. Realistically, you won't be able to save his Blue form for Goku's Ultra Instinct stage, but this allows you to knockout earlier stages with ease.

A lot of the units here can stack their stats, which should be taken advantage of in order to survive. Float when necessary and save your big guns (ex. Active Skills) for the final stage(s). Possible substitutions include:

Leader Tactics
Goku and Vegeta are phenomenal in a fusion team. Their high damage and defense are a must for this event, and the healing they receive from fusing is amazing. Plus, when they fuse, they are super effective against all types, making them do their top damage against even UI Goku.

Gogeta can dish out an amazing amount of damage with his type effectiveness. And when he transforms, the guaranteed crits are great at getting through Goku's high defense. Along with helping LR Gogeta get through UI Goku, his dodging comes into an amazing play up until MUI Goku.

After his EZA, STR Gogeta become a beast with his damage. Along with being able to lower the attack and defense of early stages, Gogeta can just hit plain hard. His main drawback is his lower defense, but it isn't too much of a problem.

SSJ4 Gogeta is not a unit to have on main rotation. Despite this, he is great at dealing out some extra damage, and if the opportunity arises, avoiding a super attack. His major weaknesses are his defense and MUI Goku. The type disadvantage makes Gogeta take a ton of damage, enough to kill you if you aren't careful. Plus, he can't avoid SAs during the MUI stage.

Some may think to bring SSJ3 Gotenks, since he is a fusion, but I believe Vegito works better. His ability to reduce damage by 50% makes him a great tank, even with the smaller leader boost. During MUI, he is amazing at tanking the attacks. Just watch out for Super Attacks.

Ranger 17's main inclusion to this team is the 60% defense boost he gives to allies. With this boost, LR Gogeta's already high defense goes through the roof. Plus, when you drop below 77% HP, he reduces damage received by 40%, making him a great tank.

STRATEGY
For your main rotations, use LR Gogeta and Gogeta Blue for on, and LR Gogeta and STR Gogeta for the other. Try not to use items for as long as possible, hopefully not until you get to UI Goku. Try to also prolong fusing LR Gogeta, but if it can't be stopped without changing rotations, just let them fuse. Now, the early stage should go by relatively quickly. The main challenge is UI Goku. With your main damage dealer and tank being a PHY type, it is going to be tough. Power through UI Goku as fast as you can. Use items if needed, but try to keep a good chunk of them for MUI Goku. After reaching MUI Goku, you can switch rotations for better tanking, but ALWAYS keep LR Gogeta in the main rotations. Also, keep an eye out for SSJ4 Gogeta. He could cause a death if he isn't protected. Final tip: Try to get the first Dokkan Mode off by Godku or earlier. If you do that, you should get the second during MUI Goku if you play normally. This team let me beat Goku all seven times, sometimes comfortably and with items left over. Hopefully you can too!

STRATEGY
The goal here isn't to deal out tons of damage and race through the stage. Early on, you want to raise your defenses as many times as possible while chipping away at the enemy HP as slowly as possible. Try to always get supers off and try to always match orb type to card type to restore your HP. Get your cards in the following rotations as early as possible and don't take them off until the very last stage. If you can't get in rotation halfway through first stage, go ahead and quit and try again.

Rotation 1

  • Thumb 1015150 Links with Vegeta for plenty of ki. Will have the lowest def on the team. Put him in the either of the first 2 slots with least attacks coming. Watch out for super attacks from teq types. Will get up to 150k+ def by last stages
  • Card 1016500 thumb Links with Goku for plenty of ki. Watch out for 2nd to last stage - you can take him off rotation in the str stage if you are having trouble. Will get up to 200k+ def by last stages

Rotation 2

  • Card 1015100 thumb Links with Saiyaman 4 for added def. Can safely absorb 6+ attacks per round. Just make sure he's not in first slot launching an SA when your dokkan meter fills up. Keep in mind in last stages, he will take more damage when your HP meter is full.
  • Card 1017260 thumb Links with Hercule/Mr. Satan for added def. Put in slot with less attacks incoming. Watch out for super attacks from agl types. Can get up to 200k+ def by last stage

Keep in 3rd slot until final round

  • Card 1017080 thumb Both of your trunks will safely be able to stack enough def to tank the final stages even in the third slot. Don't ever transform them - they lose their tankiness. You don't want them in first slots early on because they will do too much damage and you won't be able to beef up your other cards. Bring them into main rotation in the final stage

    This guy can just float around and you don't need to worry about him too much. Whenever you see him on rotation, put him in third slot and aim for his 12ki attack. 18ki attack does too much damage and doesn't stack his def. By the time you get to the last stage, you can bring him on rotation and start launching 18ki attacks.

If you do everything right, you won't need to heal too often. Maybe once or twice early on you will get down to low HP. Use SBR tactics to restore HP - recovery with orbs, dokkan meter, etc. You may have to use items, but use them sparingly. Start with your senzu beans, then Android 8. Save your Bulma's for the final 2 rounds. It does take at least 30 minutes to beat the stage this way so just be patient. I have now beat the stage all 7 times and haven't lost yet using this team. The tickets and the stones are worth the struggle. Slow and steady wins the race!

Leader Tactics
The main leader of the Potara team. He grants a full heal once he fuses, (including the friend) AAAANNNNNDDDDD has counters for lots of damage after he fuses, although the counters didn't hit much anyway. He stacks high damage throughout the battle until UI Goku and MUI Goku. His critical counters are the clutch during the last two phase and it helps a lot. Either way, the best Potara lead and free heal.

The absolute tank in this team. With his 12 ki super and the kaioken mechanic, this ssb Vegito can tank all the way to MUI Goku, which is good. He links very well with other units except one and it's a recommended unit for this event. I rather use this than the TEQ counterpart because TEQ will not survive against the last phase. Always use 12 ki super and check the stat before ultra super.

Although it's outdated and the EZA Super Vegito will replace it sooner or later, this unit is still very valuable in this event. Its counters are pretty decent along with its kaioken unit raising attack. It also raise its ally when it attack first. However, it finds its tough time during UI Goku since it's a PHY unit.

For those who said this card is overrated, well he's an MVP in this event. First few phases, put him at the front of the rotation, BAMM, high chance of crit, not to mention his ATK+40% at the beginning of each turns he shows up. That's mad. His Super also GREATLY RAISES DEF LIKE WHHHHHAAAAATTTT????? BANDAI PREDICTED THIS UNIT'S REDEMPTION MAN. And when he transformed to Rose, it's just the icing on a sundae on a hot day. He gains super saiyan and kamehameha as attack links, that means more attack. He retained his superb super and gains CRIT+50% and ATK+150%!!!! Not to mention he will always super thanks to his linking partner, STR Rose and also his ki+3 and a defense bonus from the passive. Overall, a truly Subarashi unit.

A filler card since I don't have AGL Zamasu, but he's good enough. A 7% heal super and reduced damage by 40%?? I'll take that. But if you have AGL Zamasu, use it instead.

A perfect linking partner for the Zamasus. He gives Extreme allies and himself Ki +3 and DEF +50%, as well as lowering Goku's DEF by 20%. Although he hits like a truck, he can get hit hard as well, so be careful where to place him.

STRATEGY
Build up SSB Vegito and Black at the start of the battle and constantly checking up their stats. When it's super duper high, start linking them. Black with Rose and Vegito Blue with Super Vegito (recommending the LR). Don't try to use the items since you got 2 free heal from LR Vegito and you can go through the phase without item until SSB Goku. Find a rainbow LR Vegito as a friend, it helps a ton. Also, pray the RNG that the crits will fall like rain.

This unit is crucial to this battle as the primary leader of the "Super Saiyan" Category. When below 70% health, this unit transforms into Super Saiyan, allowing it to stack defense with each Super Attack. Not only that, guard has a medium chance to pop up, allowing it to tank double digits. The active skill can be used during the STR or INT phase.

This Trunks can transform from the start of the third turn. When in Super Saiyan, it stacks ATK and DEF infinetly, allowing it to tank Super Attacks easily from the last portion of this fight. More importantly, the active skill transforms Trunks into Super Saiyan Rage and allows it to change a random color of orbs into TEQ and gains 30% ATK and 10% DEF per orb obtained. Also during this phase, it becomes super effective against all types.

STRATEGY
Run the two Future Androids as a rotation, giving them plenty of turns to stack their DEF and giving 17 a high chance to crit so he can do decent damage against Mastered UI. STR Cell and Mira should be the other rotation, though they don’t link well they both need the chance to stack their DEF, and Cell super attacking at 10 Ki can somewhat mitigate the problem.
On JP Angel Cell also stacks DEF, making him arguably better than INT Cell.
21’s healing can also make her a decent option, though she will get hit really hard.
LR 17 & 18/16 will get hit pretty hard on STR UI Goku and MUI super attacks, but 16’s damage can make him a decent option.
Some Super PHY options like Transforming Vegeta or Dokkan Fest Piccolo can be decent, though they suffer from having only a 90% leader skill buff

AGL LR Gohan is the MVP of this team in every way imaginable. High attack, self-sustaning Ki over time, and most importantly stacks his defense to infinity and beyond. He'll be taking double digits by the time you get to the last stage. Of course, you won't be able to transform him with this build, but that's not the point here.

Probably the best free Goku we have available as of now, this one also stacks his defense infinitely. Great partner for Gohan since he boosts his everything. Do not use the exchange skill at any point.

While normally he's only okay on this team, he shines in this particular event because, wait for it, he stacks his defense. He's currently the only unit in the game that stacks his defense by 50% infinitely, making him invaluable for slower events like this one. It's also pretty easy to get his transformation off since you'll generally not be taking damage until much later on.
He can be replaced here, but why would you want to?

This Goku is another stacky boi, in both the ATK and DEF department. While he doesn't really link for crap with most of the units here, he is still plenty useable due to his Kaioken effect and having a Ki boost when you hit 50% or below, though you don't always do that on this team until the last two stages.

He also makes it here for basically being a free Senzu bean after he transforms. His counters are unfortunately pretty bad here, but it's not a big deal and he's still good on this team.

Pretty much the same reasons as LR Vegito. He's a big boi that heals you. Unfortunately you can't lower Goku's attack from his God form and beyond, but his normal Gogeta effect to be effective against all types is useful for the second to last stage, so long as he doesn't get hit too many times.
Also good for no-item runs.

If you aren't using a Gohan friend, something is wrong with you.
STRATEGY
The main rotations you need are the Exchange Goku and Gohan for the first, and then Goku Black and the other Gohan for the second, keeping the others in the third slot. Super as often as you can, keep Gohan from doing his ultras early on to maximize the amount of attacks and turns you need to stack. You can have Kaioken Goku in the first slot for the first couple of turns if you want to get his defense high, but you wanna try and keep your LR Fusions in the third slot so that you can get the most out of their healing effects. Beyond that, just sit back and let your big bois work their magic.

This man is extremely clutch because of not only his type allowing you to finish the first phase, but his transformation allows you to stack DEF, guard, and keep guard for 3 turns with a chance to preform a critical hit. His rage is unnecessary for the event.

Main leader to Potara, and is extremely valuable for this event. He has good DEF at the start. His purpose is to be a free-healer if you get low on HP. His fuse mechanic allows you to fully heal, and counter normal attacks. Just watch out on super attacks near the last few phases. He'll be hit heavily.

Him taking a simple SA and a couple of normal hits can kill you.

-Keep one of the Namek Saga Gokus along side the Exchange Goku as the link and support raises both of their DEF, allowing them to hold their own in all phases like Gohan.
-If at any time, you want to speed through this event, wait until the Exchange Goku is above 420k DEF, then exchange. This will allow them to not take much damage on super attacks and debuff like Gogeta. Furthering the lowering of DEF allows Vegeta, Vegito, or any other card to inflict damage to MUI.

In his SS and SS2 forms, he links really well with gohan, sadly those phases won't last long and when he gets to blue you'll need to give him 6 ki (or 4 if Great Saiyaman 4 is on rotation) to super. Still, his damage reduction combined with stacking atk and defense pre-blue make him not a bad option for the team. Any additional supers he gets will massively increase his defense for the last phase of the event, at which point he, without additionals, still tanks for 10-20k for normals.

100%. One of the best F2P cards you can farm. His defense stacking combined with his ATK lowering (usable up to TEQ god goku) and the fact that he is a support make him one of the best units to bring to this event. His defense gets so high that the only thing that can hurt him is a super attack from INT UI goku and it doesn't even do too much (100k-150k at best), there is no posible way of INT UI one-shotting you with a super, not even close. Only the goku part of this card infinitely stacks DEF so DON'T exchange him.

100%. At this point I didn't know who else to put in the team, that was until I saw this guy. Great Saiyaman 4 gives 2 ki and 30% DEF to all allies, which is good but not enough to add him to the team, BUT he also infinitely stacks ATK and DEF. By the point where you get to INT UI, Great Saiyaman 4 will take double digit damage from normals, supers are a little dangerous but depending on the amount of supers and adittional supers he gets, he should be okay. Additionally he gives the youth category (only gohan on this team) a 30% ATK boost.

As you always should, try to get a friend with some dupes. If there the impossible happens and there isn't a gohan with dupes, don't worry he is so good that you don't need them. ALWAYS keep him in rotation as he is the main tank. Since we only care about defense, he will not transform in this team.

STRATEGY
Your main rotations should be: LR Gohan + Transforming Goku and LR Gohan + SS TEQ Goku and Gohan, so the units that rotate are: Goku & Vegeta (Vegito), Goku & Vegeta (Gogeta) and Great Saiyaman 4. There are two ways to go through this event: the slow one and the fast one. If you want to do it the fast way, all you have to do is give everyone super attacks. It's extra fast if you can get 18 o 24 ki supers with your LRs. If you decide to do it the slow way (the "safer" way) then ONLY super attack with your DEF stacking units. That will make the event longer enough for them to build up enough DEF for the last phase. If any phase has really low hp and you know the next super will kill, choose whoever has less DEF to finish the phase off, that will most likely always be the AGL or TEQ SS goku.

Things to look out for: Even though Transforming Goku's defense and damage reduction make him a good tank, he is still able to get hurt in INT UI's phase, so you should rotate him for Goku & Vegeta (Gogeta), wether they're fusioned or not. Before reaching TEQ god Goku, the Gohans should already be taking dobule digits from everything. Once the two LR Gohans and the TEQ SS Goku's DEF reach or go over 400K, grab as many orbs of the same type as you can, the healing from each orb is increased the more DEF the unit has. You can heal almost 200k HP from some orbs with the LRs.

Run Xeno Vegeta and Scouter Vegeta as a rotation. Run Goku/Gohan and Vegeta/Trunks as a rotation. Float both leaders and SSJ 4 Goku. Let those to rotations stack DEF unit you are just about to finish off blue Goku. Then float scouter Vegeta or Vegeta/Trunks for LR SSj4 Goku. Scouter Vegeta can surprisingly hold his own in the str stage especially with Xeno Vegetas support so it's up to you. You would be best to float Vegeta/Trunks for SSJ4 Goku so he gets support from Goku/Gohan and then use his active skill there. After you beat the str stage float SSJ4 Goku. Then Run Xeno Vegeta and Scouter Vegeta as a rotation and transforming Vegeta and Goku/Gohan and use the switch mechanic so your just Gohan so you get more defense from that unit. Try not to use more than one item until you get to the str stage and you should be good.

Try to NOT launch super attacks with the guys in 3rd slot until last stages: a longer battle let you stack more DEF, and you have have to stack until enemy is weaker. Defend according type and DEF value; don't worry too much if your HP drops down.. Just gets orbs according to the character's type to recover HP: in fact, the increase value depend on DEF value: higher the DEF, higher the HP recovery for every orb taken. And just in case HP drops too much, the guys in 3rd slot recovers all HP when fuse/transform.

IF YOU GET A FUSION, when fighting against Thumb 4013550 v1 in last stage, you can choose to take Card 1017740 thumb out of rotation because of his type weakness and put
